How Pompidelik handles project information.

The Alberton Dam Restoration Project is a proposed Pompidelik community initiative aimed at supporting the responsible restoration of Alberton Dam in Verwoerd Park, Alberton.

For purposes of this project, Pompidelik may collect and process information from individuals, volunteers, companies, sponsors and community members who want to get involved.

General project enquiries should be submitted through the Get Involved process. Approved public notice contact details are shown only on the Do's and Don'ts flyer/page.

For individuals: name and surname, date of birth, email address, contact number, area or suburb, how you would like to assist, and any message or additional information submitted by you.

For companies or businesses: contact person's name and surname, date of birth, email address, contact number, company name, company address, company website or social media page, company logo if uploaded, how the company would like to assist, whether the company is interested in sponsoring T-shirts, number of T-shirts the company may be able to sponsor, and any message or additional information submitted by you.

We collect this information only for purposes related to the Alberton Dam Restoration Project, including communicating with volunteers, sponsors and community members, coordinating project involvement, managing sponsorship enquiries, recognising approved sponsors, planning clean-up days and community activities, sharing project updates, contacting businesses that want to support the project, managing T-shirt sponsorship interest, and keeping a record of project-related enquiries and support.

Companies that upload their logo may be asked to give Pompidelik permission to use the logo on the Alberton Dam Restoration Project website, project updates, sponsor recognition material and related community awareness content.

A company logo will only be used publicly if permission has been given.

Pompidelik will take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Personal information will be accessed only by people involved in the coordination of the Alberton Dam Restoration Project who need the information for project-related purposes.

Personal information will not be sold or shared for unrelated marketing purposes.

Information may only be shared where necessary for the Alberton Dam Restoration Project, where permission has been given, where required by law, or where needed to communicate with relevant project stakeholders.

Personal information will be kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the Alberton Dam Restoration Project, unless a longer period is required by law or legitimate record-keeping purposes.

When the information is no longer required, reasonable steps will be taken to delete, destroy or securely archive it.
